Her physiotherapy practice utilizes various modalities of treatment such as manual techniques, electrotherapy, strapping techniques, dry needling, education and exercise to help restore previous functional ability to patients

About the Practice

Robyn completed her B.S.c in Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town in 1977 and worked for several years at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. In 1992 she joined the practice which was originally established in the 60’s and predominantly sports orientated, serving various schools, the UCT, the Western Province rugby team, cricket players, the Cape Town City Ballet Company and the UCT Ballet School.

In 1992 Robyn took over the reigns as owner of the practice and later opted to move it from the rented premises to a semi-detached cottage in Lulworth Road, Rondebosch. Featuring a vibrant and effervescent atmosphere, the practice has since flourished. Demand has seen its repertoire of treatment expand to also include treatment of geriatric problems with home visits to the surrounding retirement complexes in the area often being arranged.

Robyn has always been passionate about sports. Growing up in Zimbabwe she participated in numerous sporting activities throughout her school and university years and soon discovered an interest in sports injuries – something which she pursued relentlessly with passion and commitment. Robyn has always felt a strong desire to want to help the community and those less fortunate.

Robyn has also been involved with an outreach dance program, Dance For All, since its inception in 1995. This program seeks to improve disadvantaged children’s lives through dance and Robyn has been offering her services as physiotherapist pro bono since the start.

Aside from her social responsibilities, Robyn continues to pursue her love for sports and is an avid golfer, cyclist and swimmer. She also harbors a strong passion for animals and, as a result, has opened her home to countless pets over the years and embarked upon numerous trips to the bundu.
